My first trip to Langkawi with my dearest Apple was a blast !
cable car ride, island hopping, human pyramid, lots and lots of chocolates(help!)
and the beach there are beautiful !
Riding around in 3 rented cars, 2 Innovas, and one Livina.
26 of Fuji Xerox colleagues travelled together on a Friday night and arrived at the Jetty the next day.
we spent 3 days 2 nights on the island and we came back with more baggage ha ha !

Learnt a thing or two from our regional speaker Paul Mclean from IBG on Monday. He was coaching us on sales techniques and strategies. And one of the thing that he advice us was to always ask for help when you don't know how to get around things. We have pride, we like people to think that we know, but we don't let people know what we don't know. I think it is not a shame to ask for help when you need help, its the same if you are good at lets say maths, and a friend ask you how to work on this equation that he doesn't know how to solve, i believe you would be glad to show him how its done and your friend would be so thankful. Vice versa. I am gonna write a few things that i don't know and hope that my friends who read this will give me a tip or two ha ha !

3 how to get better at creative suite (Pev, Tim, Pamy)

T'was Ken and Omote san's birthday celebration last Saturday! we had a splashing time and lots and lots of food to eat! Thanks to Ken and Kenneth and all others who helped prepare the food! not to mention Omote san brought lots of liquor for us to get nuts! ha ha!After the cake blowing session and cake smearing to show some love, it was pool dipping time! Alas i would share some hillarious vid clips of that but that will slow down this blog page loading :p

One of my colleagues did a presentation today on a customer case study and how she had won the case to close the sales deal. On the way out to do my sales call I bumped into her, I smiled and said ‘hey good job in nailing that sales, and that’s a good presentation you did there today’. She looked at me and said thanks, and asking me if I am sure her presentation was ok, coz she was nervous and afraid that it was all messed up. I assured her it was good, though it was forced by her manager to do the presentation ha ha! She felt better after that.
There are times when I am lost and staring at my screen, my senior sitting next to me would surprise me from the back with a Vulcan Neck pinch. A quick strong squeeze on the shoulder muscles to waken me up ha ha! Plus a word of encouragement, I go on doing my work, words of advice from experience gave me more insight to my job. It’s a wonder what encouragement you can give a person sometimes.
During my marathon runs, nearing the end of the journey near the finish line, sometimes I see some runner’s who stop running or some in pain, I pass them by and give them some encouragement “Come on brother ! its just a few more kilometers, you can do it! “ it really boosts their spirit and they start picking up pace again. Some youngsters even have the energy to suddenly boost, sprinting ahead with renewed energy, whoa!
I believe in our day to day lives, it helps when you compliment or encourage that someone, it makes that much difference to that person. It may be your colleague, it may be your friend, it may be your family members. Sometimes they might feel what they do in their lives are not appreciated or not that big a deal. A few words like ‘well done, good job, hey you were great just now’ would be really encouraging to that person and you could be making a difference in that person’s life.
Sometimes, we need this little words of encouragement and compliments from others to feel good about ourselves, more importantly to keep our spirits up, you need it, we need it, I need it. Do it, tell it with honesty, tell it enthusiastically, and you are not only doing something nice for someone, you are doing a favour for yourself too.

As i give and do things for people, i am a person who expect gratitude and appreciation in return. Now i am learning not to be, as i have been disappointed one too many times. For now, i appreciate who and what i have and just be glad that i even have that handful of kindness towards me.

It's only when you expect that much that it hurts so much when it doesn't go the way you thought it would be.

I feel like today people come and people go as fast as new mobile phones. They touch our lives, live little impacts in them, and move on to touch other people's lives. This are the moments that i remember, i make a mental note, and also i look back on the pictures to remember the moments.

Some pictures tell a thousand words, some jolt memories of sadness or happiness. It's all a yesterday once more.

Ya, a lot of people will say, that's the past, stop looking back at them, it's over and gone. Heck ya, they are right, but i like looking back at em, coz those were happy moments, moments that i live a lifetime and only passes by me once, god knows how i wish at times i could lock and stop those moments and live at that instance.

Today i feel everything is a blur, what is real and what is not real anymore. No, not like a 'Matrix' thing. It's just like, what happens when you stop contact with someone, you loose touch with that person, and dont know how's that friend being doing. Do anybody bother? who cares? i've got my job to worry about, i've got my family to worry about? i've got to hang out with my friends? no time for you, no time to reply you, no time to call you back, no time to sms, heck no time to drop an email.

I guess its just how important do you see the other person is. I judge people on how they respond to you, in a way that is how i feel i know how important i am to that person, how soon they reply a sms message or even return a miss call, give or take work time to be busy. Better still, sometimes you dont even get a reply sms or even a return call. People will just leave it be and take for granted. Makes you feel like why do i always have to be the one that is waiting, why cant i be the one where he always get fast replies, where he always gets called out by friends, where he is appreciated by friends and gets warm and caring support from them.

Bite your lips and stand up strong, time to not bother what people think of me, or how they look at you, you can be kind and nice to people and they turn around and bite you in the ass. You dont see the more rude, confident and selfish people being talk back or jeered at. Instead they are the ones who get respect and response the most.
Huh! chivalry is dead, altruism long down the drain. Or is it just the mentality today.

No wonder people end up being monks or priests. To search for a truth that is more than just our everyday lives. Or some just throw themselves into voluntary work that makes them feel more alive and appreciated by people who really need it.

I would admit, yes, a little attention is nice, a little appreciation would be good, a reply from you when i call you or drop you a sms message would be sweet, and kind simple gestures gets returned with a warm thank you. But hey, this is just me talking here...

My birthday pass me by on monday 11th of September. A simple but engraved in memory kind of moment, the emotions and people shared with. The Friday before that my colleagues celebrated for me my birthday at one of their houses, lots to eat and lots of liquor. ha ha!
On Saturday night went out dinner with me main group of friends and headed to Hartamas after for pool, foosball and beer!
and the session continued to Ric's house where joSie Liang and Ah Seng continued with Mahjong =)

We celebrated Ah Seng's 26th birthday that falls on the 3rd of Sept yesterday on the 30th of August. Many of us turned up, there was me Chiat, joSie, RiC, Suet w@i, Alia, JujuZombie, Tim & Pamy, Wee Hwee and our Britain friend Ah Liang.
Ah Seng gathered us here at Happy Garden Bangsar for a scrumptuos Chinese cuisine of Lala soup, century steam egg, marmite pork ribs, lemon chicken, japanese tofu, fried sotong, and some of the dishes we double it coz its just so yummy ha ha.
It is rare that we have such a gathering of so many of us. Am glad to see everyone, and i guess Ah Seng must be really happy too.

After dinner at the chinese restaurant we headed to Bangsar Village on foot to Ms.Read's for some desert. Wow the setting and theme of the place is just so nice and comfy. Ha ha first time here for me. I am a big fan of desserts that i went to the glass display straight to see what they have. Me and Suet Wai was like looking and then pretending said 'yes i would like to have one of each' ha ha. They all look just so good.
We ordered almost all the desserts they have, one of each kind.

After Ms.Read's JujuZombie fancied a pint at Finnegan's. Me, joSie, jujuZombie, Ali@, ah Seng and Ah Liang headed there together. It's like one thing after another. Ha ha!

been one birthday to another ha ha! and mine and Ah Seng would be next month. Guess age is catching up ha ha. Had a swell evening at Pamy's place, nice of her and her mom to host us. Pamy's mom made Tim teddy bear cakes for his birthday. Cute little things. The chef Tim himself whip up dinner for us, lamb stew, dori fish fillets, vege wraps with meat and chicken curry compliments of Pamy's mom. Not forgetting little toasted buns to eat with the stew! my Weekend was kinda weird. A few things things happened that's life changing and i realise that sometimes you have known your friends for so long that there are almost no barriers at times in the things we share about each other.

had dinner at my bro's place, he and his wife host us, and my auntie and two cousins came along as one of them May San came back for a short break from her medical studies at Russia and have not seen my bro and wife since.

And since for quite a few years my cousin May San always missed celebrating her birthday with us coz she's always at Russia, we had a post birthday celebration. ice Cream cake!

Had a scrumptious dinner and with stomachs full went on after that to meet my friends at the Curve next to Cineleisure.

Have you experience one of those moments where the days just passes by so fast it's the weekend before you know it and the next day coming is Monday already. Gosh. And money in your wallet disappears so fast if you dont keep track of it you dont know where it all went to. But the thing that never fails for me is the constant nagging at the back of my head that i have not finish my reports for my manager. Damn those reports! if only i'd know how to tackle them i would have gotten it done nice and proper in the first place! newbie, that's me, so my manager gave me sometime to do. That still doesn't help the constant nagging at the back of my head. so i headed to Pamy's place after dinner last night and jumped into the pool. The water just takes it all away and before you know it you'll just be concentrating on your strokes and breathing.

Has it come across you before that to some people you are irritating, or how should i put it, a pain in the ass, and want attention. Phone calls, sms, messages, msn messenger (nudging), taking up your time, or is it that that person is not that important to you anymore hence it becomes a irritation, ok not important is a bit harsh, not so interesting is more the word. When someone does that to you then only you would come to understand, and before that, you might be someone's elses pain in the ass too. Just my opinion...

Bah give me a god warrior, i will solve all the problems in the world!

in this case.. i love the weekend. Helped Janet to move her things to her new place. Which was very near. ha ha. And on the Sunday went over to the Kiwanis Centre at SS23 Taman SEA to help Tim and Pamy run their stall for the fund raising charity that they had there. All in all it was quite a big crowd, and we were selling fruits. i was screaming at the top 5 apples 2 coupons 5 oranges 2 coupons 4 packets sweets 1 coupon lucky dip 1 coupon! Mari o! Murah o! and there was this band called Apology who played. This Tim said they are called Apology coz probably they know they sound bad so they always have to apologise. ha ha!

Oh and Steamboat was yummy last night! Captain and wife Hooi Min took us to this place at SS15 to eat steamboat.
josie, Ric, ju, alia, suet wai, Liang, Seng, Captain and hooi Min was there to have a wonderful time steamboating; cracking eggs into the steamboat with yee mee, josie cook it in a creative way... and Ah Seng came up with a lazy way to steamboat by just pouring the meat and vege stuff into the steamboat splashing some soup here and there with comments from Liang after that ha ha!
Was yummy and worth the price! i always enjoy weekends out like that, as enjoyable as taking long walks on the beach.

EZ Do Dance! Blasting through the car stereo i came to work in one song. By the time the song has finish i have reached the office. It was an extended mix so i had time.

Pass few nights have been weird, cricket sounds in my house. I went to look for the source it seems to be coming from the door itself. Puzzle? when i kick the door they will stop making noise. After a while it comes back, wtf should i do man? spray insectiside to get them out?? or breakdown the door to find the insides has turn into some nest! WHAT!

Anyway Gedo Senki by Hayao's son Goro is coming out soon. Looks promising.

Monday passed me by. Bah! Do people use blogs to talk bout their life more or to talk about their sense and opinions, or is it more on stating a point?
Maybe work has been getting to me. I find it hard sometimes to work coz i still have a few processes of the job to learn on. i feel stuck at a deadend. Mostly is the paperwork (which i dont think i should do :p) costing, reports this reports that, account listing this account listing that, weekly report this weekly report that, daily reports too!!! what the?? May as well strap a survelliance camera round my forehead and have a direct transmission to see what we are doing and where exactly we are.

i learn that sometimes you think you are right but actually you may not be so right about it after all. Maybe its because we are like a box. We are inside the box and that is all that we see. We dont see what's on the outside of the box. This is where your friends and your close ones tell you what's on the outside of the box. And that is also if you are willing to listen and to learn. Instead of always telling people how the outside of their box look like, they should take some time and ask instead, how does theirs look like. The best is to understand inside out.

My CPU is a neural net processor, the more i interact with humans the more i learn.

ok quick upDate! Me Ju Alia starting line. BANG! Run run run! through the streets in the dark at 6 half morning. Ok my strategy today was to pace a strong girl runner. Coz i know i did not put in enough mileage for my training. I gotta pace a runner. And a girl runner is usually strong, but not as fast as the other gung ho guys. C0005 was this girl with a ponytail. She got a steady pace so i paced after her, sometimes overtaking her, and sometimes slowin down for her to overtake.
i started to feel the tension building after the Subang flyover heading towards Subang airport. That's where the fight began. The struggle. The agony. AAaaarrggh! C00049 another woman beside me started ripping open her powerGel and gulping it down. I was like how'd she do it without water?? no matter, keep pace with C0005. Lost her at the Terminal 3 U turn. And then the real fight began. The long road home. i ran i walked i ran i walked i chatted with people along the way i encouraged people who stopped i ran. Reaching the stadium entrance Cecil was already there sitting down cheering people on. He shouted at me to GO! i went into a sprint 'What's a 400 metre to me man!' ha ha that's what i said to myself and sprinted cross the finish line in 2 hours 10 mins, position 204. Same as my number A00204.

PD triathlon is next. Wonder how i'd fare. But Putrajaya in September, i am gonna be good and do a 1 hour 50min or less game.

Take pride in your run, Joe Henderson thought me this, it's hard to brag you are the 204th finisher or the 312th, there's glory in those numbers, coz if you want to know where you stand, turn around and look behind at the people you can't see: those who trained for a marathon but didn't reach the starting line... who race but not at this distance... who run but never race... who used to run but don't anymore... who never ran and never will. Don't call yourself "slow" bacause you aren't. You're fast enough to beat everyone who isn't there.

That's how it all started this morning, at 3 i woke up and found my ceiling fan not working, and i looked outside the window and see pitch black. Only the night ambience light. I called TNB and enquired on the situation. They replied that they are working on an electrical trip. The power only came on at 430, that was my time to get ready to head out to the stadium. Not the first time this has happened. Had to resort to using Josie's handheld battery operated fan. Thank you Josie!

oh gross, the smell of it really made me feel like puking. Powerbar. but that's what helps to energize the body for the run. Yah that was my breakfast this morning. Could only take half of it. I was suffering all the way chewing on it and swallowing it. Down lots of water. Ask Alia how Powerbar tastes like. The thing is i have been taking Powerbar each time for competitions and it really got to me. Ju wolfed down the remaining half. So please dont bring, eat and powerbar near me next. Thank you.

swimMing under the moOnlight and bad traFfic

sWimming in the night always have a weird feeling to it. I cant see what's on the sides of the pool except for the both ends of the pool that has lights. So i just swim from one end of the pool to the other aiming for the light.
there was this other girl in the pool too, athletically fit and wearing a two piece. She swam a bit then got out of the water, sat at the side and relax and took some pictures of her self with her MotoRazr V3, dont know what she doing man. ha ha. anyway she got out of the pool before me.

going home from work is a real hassle. I find that the traffic within PJ itself is terrible. i work at section 13 PJ where Colgate Palmolive that road is. And from there to home took me almost fourty five minutes to reach home. When i was working at Bangsar last time i could reach home via the Damansara highway in fifteen minutes tops! with time to swing by Section 17 to buy tong sui some more! It's either you leave real early to avoid the jam or leave real late.

differentiation. what's so different about me and you? unique physical features, height, weight, unique characteristics, caring, giving, honest, grumpy, cheerful. How bout clothes and accesories. People want to be differentiated from others, different handphones, unique ringtones, different fashion, drive different cars, live in different renovated houses. Differentiation.
Something that i learned today from one of the Tigers in the company i work in. How we should differentiate ourselves from our competitors out there.
But i guess it applies in life too sometimes. On how we sell ourselves, how different are we from the other people. What makes us unique?

i either log on in the evening to post a blog or in the early morning at work. And then you'd be wondering is this yesterdays story or todays.

i ran the hills at Kiara yesterday evening and it was a steady climb. Just let my brain take over and tell my body to put one feet in front of the other. That's what i will be doing at the PJ Half Marathon. I heard them mention this will be the last year that the PJ Half Marathon medals will have the same design as the rest of the years before, after they gain the township the medals design will be changed. i gotta win again this time!

i have been swimming so much the last week i think my hair is turning brown. Baji told me that could happen form the chlorin in the water. I sure hope that does not happen! and i got more tan from last Sunday's swim yahoo! must be the 1 hour of lazing around the pool ha ha. It's relaxing. Aaargh! my ADSL line was down or two whole weeks. The technician guy came
and told me the problem was just that you need to have a direct connection telephone line. I have like splitters connecting to phones upstairs and downstairs. Mess up jumbe of wires. Got it fixed. At last!

And i wanted to post somethin up on the blog yesterday morning and the blogger has to be down. Sheesh!

ok today is Saturday, i am gonna go for a swim.
